I used the Lukis Lounge for a quick stay because I was getting in late at night and needed to be out early in the morning.

The bed was completely made and ready to sleep in when I got there, which was a great convenience because I got in quite late after a day of travel. Temperature in the room was fine, with enough blankets if I had been cold. Overall an excellent option for a quick stay!

This is a great bargain spot to lay your head if you’re going to be out and about quite a bit.

Jeannette is personable and fun, and her home is very charming. The basement is Spartan but just what I needed on a budget. Oh, and there’s a toilet and a sink in the room with you, which is more convenient than you’d think! The price cannot be beat, and it’s a fantastic location. She is sharing her home, so there are a lot of rules. But really, with how many people she shares her home with, it is understandable to need limits. She is very responsive to texts and messages and is always happy to clarify and give a friendly reminder. One of the gems of Baltimore. Don’t forget to go out on the rooftop patio! Very easy to use the bus from here, homey atmosphere. Be aware that the basement is also partially utility space; but if you don’t mind that and can get down slightly steep stairs, you’re good.

An enjoyable stay. I was in Baltimore for an Argentine tango festival and staying here at Jeannette’s place worked out really well for me. Location location location! Fells point is the place to stay and very close to the water front, tons of shops and restaurants. I enjoyed taking off early each morning and jogging along the water front. Jeannette also provided a free pass for one day at the MAC which I used as well. Room is spacious and has all the things one might need like hair dryer and q-tips (which I forgot)! Thank you Jeanette for making my first trip to Baltimore a successful one.

I felt really welcome in Jeannette’s house.

She really did go out of here way to make me comfortable. I stayed with her for more than a week, including christmas and new year eve and it was really nice. She did actually willingly included me in some of her daily life activities For the room, I stayed in the Shrine. Though it is technically a basement, there are plenty of lights to brighten the whole room up. The bed was big and there were many blanket in case you are cold. There was also an electric heater for that same reason. However, be mindful of your height because the ceiling IS pretty low. At 5’4, I could stand straight up comfortably, but when I wanted to put on clothes or something that includes raising hands, I did have to mind where I moved. Im glad that she included the warning in her description. Bonus: Zoey and the two cats are adorable. Zoey and Olive might need time to warm up to you, but in doubt, go straight to Olivia.

I stayed at Jeannette’s place while attending a conference at the Marriott Waterfront, which was within easy walking distance.

The neighbourhood is beautiful, and I found a number of great cafes/restaurants/shops within 10 minutes by foot. I only met Jeannette’s pets briefly, but they all have a lot of personality! Jeannette herself was very friendly and accommodating as a host. The bed was really comfortable, the room was spacious, and the private bathroom was a definite plus. I didn’t really have any issues with this, but one thing to note is that there was at times noise from the street in the late hours (people and cop cars, though this was on a weekend holiday) and early morning (cars, garbage collection) if you’re a very light sleeper (though Jeannette offers a pair of ear plugs).

A little over two years ago I had my first Airbnb experience in the Vivaldi. Revisiting the Chamber of Tranquility this weekend was a great reminder as to why I love this app/service so much. I appreciated proximity to John Hopkins Hospital (12 minutes away).

As advertised with copious notes, I was able to get in late, and appreciated the quiet room (& its large size) and ease of the neighborhood’s proximity for walking to John Hopkins Hospital (12 minutes away). There was a bodega across the street and 2 new restaurants nearby at the Jefferson Sq at Washington Hill, and a CVS. The place was very clean and had 2 cute cats. Jeannette was wonderfully welcoming and briefly showed me around the neighborhood in the morning. A lovely stay.

My son and I spent a quick a night and part of a day; even though a quick trip, we felt right at home at Jeannette’s. Even though we got there later at night than expected (and in the rain!), her directions for entering/parking were easy to follow and she welcomed us like family. The Vivaldi suite was super-comfortable (bed very much so!) and bathroom clean and well-equipped. The entrance door has a cipher type key pad lock so no key to pick up or lose. Very easy to come and go to local places. The area is quiet for being in the city and close to the hospital and park.

Truly, the Shire was very charming.

I didn’t quite know what to expect from the Shire especially descending the narrow stairs that descended into the little suite. Truly, it was very charming. It had all the essentials one would need (bed, toilet, sink), and a little extra (lounge chair, writing table, toiletry supplies, etc.) The ceilings are low! The height restriction is no joke, but I didn’t find it at all uncomfortable (I’m 5’8″) and actually quite liked the wolf’s den sort of feel. The real charm of the home though was Jeannette. She was super accommodating and helpful for city and restaurant suggestions. She is also an absolutely excellent cook! I had the absolute privilege to sup with her several nights and enjoyed wonderful conversation on the little roof deck that affords a 360 degree view. I would absolutely recommend for anyone looking to save some dollars and doesn’t mind a more homey feel.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in the Fells Point area of Maryland.

I spent the weekend visiting with my son Tim. During the weekend I injured my shoulder and the hostess was unbelievably accommodating! She even prepared several meals for me and help me load all my belongings for my long drive back to Virginia. I would recommend her place without reservation especially if you’d like to stay in a clean comfortable and quiet place within walking distance of inner harbor Baltimore. And as an added benefit she’s great company along with her dog and cats.

If you’re new to Baltimore like I was, then she is definitely an individual you want to talk to/stay with. I’m considering moving to the area for school and she really took the time to get to know me and my preferences and offered suggestions on places to stay based off of that. I really enjoyed how she was flexible to my needs and would either allow me space if I needed it or be there to talk to or go on a walk with if I wanted. I appreciated the large bedroom space as well as well as the private bathroom. She provided most everything you needed as well (towels, hair dryer, shampoos, etc.) She put together a great guide of the city which gave me lots of new restaurants to try and is something I will probably use as a resource in the future. I expected the street noise to be much louder at night but it was barely noticeable and actually a generally quiet area overall. If you’ve never lived in a city before this area has a mild level of noise and definitely would be an ideal area to stay if noise bothers you. Overall Jeannette (and her furry friends) was an awesome host and I would definitely visit again!

She is enthusiasm, patience and very talkative. Jeannette and I talked a lot, from culture to family, she has his own ideas, to many things. She taught me how to cook omelette, how to fight and how to deal with dangerous situations. During the days, I also meet a funny Hungary friend (Zsolt), he was here for the same conference as me. We spent lots of time together in this colorful week. Jeannette’s kitchen is a good place to talk together, with 3 lovely pets. Olivia, Oliver and Zoey, they are very lovely. they have their own territory and personality and all of them are very easy to get along with. Jeannette, Zsolt and I also play squash together in a club, this is the first time that I play squash. Very appreciate with Jeannette‘s great coach, we have fun with the game. Jeannette is amazing as a host.

She showed me neighbourhood and she helped me with exploring the city of Baltimore as well as with my little trip to Washington DC. The room was very cozy and private. If you’re worried about safety – don’t be! Whole Fells Point is very peaceful. I was walking around Fells Point and Inner Harbor at 11 p.m. even by myself and I felt really safe. I hope that we will meet in the future and we’ll try Diablo Doughnut!

What a great place. I wanted to move in.

Very cool space. The location is perfect to travel into Baltimore and walk or Uber to wherever you want to go. I was here for a weekend wedding down in Annapolis. So it was super easy to hop on the freeway/highway and back. I managed to get some later time down in Fells Point for music and conversation with friends on Saturday night. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Baltimore. I forgot how much I enjoy this city. More going on than I recall from my time working in and out of Baltimore.

Jeannette was very welcoming. She met us at the door and then walked a block away to our car to help us with our luggage. She was very kind and charming. She cut up some fresh fruit to share with us and explained the city sights to us. We greatly appreciated her hospitality. The location was perfect for what we wanted. We like to walk and the home was a convenient several block walk to the touristy area but within a great neighborhood that we enjoyed the pleasant walk every day. The room was wonderful. It was large and the in-suite bathroom was clean. We loved the accommodation.

What a wonderful stay!

The room is spacious with abundant sunlight. The bathroom has everything one might need. It felt like staying at home. From check-in to check-out, Jeannette was responsive and welcoming. She offered a glass of wine upon my arrival and we had a lovely chat about camping and traveling. I caught a 24-hour bug while there and Jeannette was so incredibly accommodating, going the extra mile to let me stay a little longer and then helping me find another place to stay. I think I remember her baking fresh bread too. And her pup and cats are a true delight! All in all, a wonderful value and great host that I would not hesitate to recommend staying with!

The room was fairly large and had its own bathroom. Walking distance to the hotel district was about 30-35 minutes, perhaps 10 minutes to restaurants and bars in Fells Point, which is very nice. You do need to accept cats and dogs that are in the house, but they were fine and didn’t bother me at all.

If you want to come to the area and really experience Baltimore, this is the place to stay.

Jeannette is truly a gem and has been an incredible resource for me. I stayed for three nights in the Vivaldi Suite while in Baltimore to search for housing as I prepare to relocate for a new RN job at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. During my search Jeannette helped me to find available units in the surrounding area as well as neighborhoods further away.

I quickly fell in love with Upper Fell’s Point and am excited to have leased an apartment just around the corner from Jeannette! She has a wealth of knowledge of the area, joined me for dessert at nearby restaurants, and truly made my trip to Baltimore an amazing experience. As far as location, if you are here for business you’ll find yourself in a prime spot. JHMI is about a 15 minute walk where you can also access the MTA Metro for access to the rest of the city, multiple Metro Bus stops in the area as well as access to the free Charm City Circulator bus Orange Route with quick access to downtown.

In your free time, a short walk to Fell’s Point will give you access to many local restaurants, bars, cafes, dessert spots. This is a great destination to unwind after a busy day and socialize with the locals. As you walk through this very safe part of town you will pass many coffee shops and corner stores to help you along the way to your destination.

For the price the Vivaldi Suite is second to none. A very comfortable bed that you hate to leave in the morning, a full size desk, and a full bathroom. This is a clean, bright, and spacious room that makes you feel at home.

In my opinion, better than any hotel accommodations. Jeannette also has two cats and a small dog, these animals are charming and affectionate, but are also respectful of your personal space.

When I made this reservations I had many tabs open with many other options, and a read a review that said, “if you’re considering other places, just go ahead and book this one.” I am so glad that I did.

Spacious, safe, and welcoming. I give the Vivaldi Suite as well as Jeannette my highest recommendation. Welcome to Baltimore!

I can recommend her without hesitation! She has great local insight where to go and even more importantly in Baltimore, where not to go! She helped wherever she could with day to day issues, the bed was very comfortable, the house is clean and quiet and the view on the rooftop deck incredible. She has two adorable cats and the cutest dog, all of them happy to meet new people, and they don’t go into your room unless asked by you to do so, but if you don’t like animals this might not be the right fit for you. For me however, the prospect of furry companionship was part of the reason I chose to stay with Jeannette, and I did not for one second regret my decision!!

Settled a few blocks away from fells point, this comfy house also sits on a straight shot from the inner harbor.

Our host, Jeannette welcomed us with a smile (and her pup Copper!) and a quick rundown of our or living arrangement. Our room was far more spacious then we realized; fitted with a queen sized bed, a lounge chair, as well as a writing desk and two chairs. The bathroom also was a part of suite. There are plenty of family owned business/restaurants within a 5 min walking distance. And the inner harbor is about a $5 lyft/Uber .

It was well maintained, has a kinda hipster vibe to it, only the height of the roof was a factor for me, it was barely my height 5’9” so I had to walk around carefully always in the mind that I might not hit the roof or some other pipe. Extremely welcoming, and from the first minute I stepped in, after just arriving in Baltimore for the first time, she was able to provide me with all the information I needed to settle into the city. Jeannette always made time for me at any point of the day, and helped me to scour housing options and target my housing search, and even helped link me with accommodating members of the neighbourhood through her networks. It was also great to be able to have wonderful discussions about everything and anything, including cultures from all over the world – she is full of great stories. The room itself is pretty huge – the photos don’t do it justice, and it’s very comfortable. Internet is fast too! There is also a beautiful rooftop deck to enjoy the sunset on at the end of the day. Of course, this is a safe and secure place to stay in a great neighbourhood, and I will definitely be visiting Jeannette sometime again in the future. Highly recommend!

She was warm and welcoming (I actually only saw her once- so I had privacy as well). She lent me her Charm Card and walked me to the bus stop with her sweet Sheltie “Copper”. There are 2 lovely kitties that welcome you at the door as well. Easy check-in and check-out. The Oasis room was clean and spacious for me. The bathroom does not have a full stand-up shower, but rather a large bath tub with a detachable shower head. Perfect for a relaxing bath, but not for those who prefer showers. Her website has impeccable detail and information, and she was also available for any questions or recommendations if needed. Was thrilled to learn that she walks Copper to a close lake and cleans up several days, and installed and refills dog clean-up posts. Pretty cool person and Baltimore native. The highlight of my stay was Jeannette herself, whose passion for and knowledge of the “real Baltimore” was superior to any guidebook–online or otherwise–out there.

Without a doubt, Jeannette’s airbnb exceeded my expectations in every way, right from the seamless check-in, which was ensured through a thorough and accurate instructions on how to travel in the easiest and most cost-effective way to her place (see her comprehensive Handbook) to the spectacular 360 degree views of Baltimore from her roof top deck. The Vivaldi room was ultra comfortable, spacious, and stocked with art and reading finds from Jeannette’s extensive and impressive travelling history. As well, the private 4-piece bath that had a bidet function on the toilet allowed a charming and unexpected European flair. But the highlight of my stay was Jeannette herself, whose passion for and knowledge of the “real Baltimore” was superior to any guidebook–online or otherwise–out there. On my last full day in Baltimore, Jeannette sat down with me at her beautiful harvest table and mapped out a custom tour of the Baltimore to which very few tourists venture. With her wonderful roommate Tim as driver, we drove to the landmarks of the 2015 riots with Jeannette providing vital sociocultural and historical contexts. We even stopped and shot hoops at the infamous Collington Square which featured the east west basketball game of The Wire. Even though my stay was a mere three days, I left Jeannette’s airbnb having experienced the vacation of my life. I will definitely go back and stay with Jeannette again.

Jeannette was a fantastic host — accommodating, friendly, helpful, fun to chat with, but also left me alone when I needed to recharge my inner introvert. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean, the home felt safe, the wifi was reliable, the bed was very comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was better than the Westin’s “heavenly shower.” I was attending a conference at the Waterfront Marriott, and while it would’ve been walkable in the daytime, I ended up taking Uber/Lyft because of my schedule. The cost was around $6 per ride in non-peak hours. I’m not sure when I’ll need housing in Baltimore again, but I’ll surely stay with Jeannette! And I already miss my buddy Zoey the Sheltie!

Jeannette’s home is located in Upper Fells Point, a quaint and historic area of Baltimore. We walked from her house in the baking heat to the harbour, downtown and Camden Yards. There’s a corner store across the street, a 7-11 a block and a bit away, and a lot of unique, family-style restaurants within a five to ten-minute walk. The room is very spacious with its own private bathroom. The cats are friendly, Zoe, the dog, is shy, and the bed is super comfortable. In fact, we slept better here than most hotels we’ve bedded down in. Jeannette is lovely and extremely welcoming.
