Conveniently located close to Downtown, the Neighborhood is charming and Jeannette’s place is comfortable, it has a great view from the balcony and she made me feel like I was at home.

She knows the city very well and can quickly point you in the right direction especially if you’re new to the city. I will certainly be staying at her place in the future and if it’s your first time in Baltimore this is the place unless you mind pets however, her mid-size dog is friendly and I barely heard the little guy.

She was warm and welcoming (I actually only saw her once- so I had privacy as well). She lent me her Charm Card and walked me to the bus stop with her sweet Sheltie “Copper”. There are 2 lovely kitties that welcome you at the door as well. Easy check-in and check-out. The Oasis room was clean and spacious for me. The bathroom does not have a full stand-up shower, but rather a large bath tub with a detachable shower head. Perfect for a relaxing bath, but not for those who prefer showers. Her website has impeccable detail and information, and she was also available for any questions or recommendations if needed. Was thrilled to learn that she walks Copper to a close lake and cleans up several days, and installed and refills dog clean-up posts. Pretty cool person and Baltimore native. Would recommend staying if in the area.

This is a great value to stay within walking distance to downtown Fells Point area of Baltimore in close proximity to Hopkins Bayview too. The small cafe Water for Chocolate has to die for upscale “foodie” comfort food- and Jeannette’s place while simply furnished is extremely spacious and has everything you can think of to be comfortable and feel at home. I look forward to staying here again.

Jeannette was the perfect host. Since I was traveling by myself and was in Baltimore for the first time I wanted to stay somewhere that I could chat with the host and feel at home. Jeannette and her home were exactly what I was hoping for! I felt right at home. The neighborhood can be a bit spotty, but Jeannette tells you what streets to stick to. In the morning I got a great cup of coffee and lox bagel sandwich at a cafe just one block north, then walked down Ann St. to the water and checked out the more touristy part of Fells Point. I had a great stay in Baltimore!

Jeannette was a fantastic host — accommodating, friendly, helpful, fun to chat with, but also left me alone when I needed to recharge my inner introvert. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean, the home felt safe, the wifi was reliable, the bed was very comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was better than the Westin’s “heavenly shower.” I was attending a conference at the Waterfront Marriott, and while it would’ve been walkable in the daytime, I ended up taking Uber/Lyft because of my schedule. The cost was around $6 per ride in non-peak hours. I’m not sure when I’ll need housing in Baltimore again, but I’ll surely stay with Jeannette! And I already miss my buddy Zoey the Sheltie!

Extremely welcoming, and from the first minute I stepped in, after just arriving in Baltimore for the first time, she was able to provide me with all the information I needed to settle into the city. Jeannette always made time for me at any point of the day, and helped me to scour housing options and target my housing search, and even helped link me with accommodating members of the neighbourhood through her networks. It was also great to be able to have wonderful discussions about everything and anything, including cultures from all over the world – she is full of great stories. The room itself is pretty huge – the photos don’t do it justice, and it’s very comfortable. Internet is fast too! There is also a beautiful rooftop deck to enjoy the sunset on at the end of the day. Of course, this is a safe and secure place to stay in a great neighbourhood, and I will definitely be visiting Jeannette sometime again in the future. Highly recommend!

The location was as advertised, clean, great amenities, great location that is walkable to nearby restaurants and harbor. If you drive, parking is street and can be tough at night. There were cute and kind pets, however the dog can have episodes of barking, if you’re sensitive to that (not at night, sleep was comfortable and quiet!). This was my second time staying at the Shire.

Jeannette is truly a gem and has been an incredible resource for me. I stayed for three nights in the Vivaldi Suite while in Baltimore to search for housing as I prepare to relocate for a new RN job at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. During my search Jeannette helped me to find available units in the surrounding area as well as neighborhoods further away.

I quickly fell in love with Upper Fell’s Point and am excited to have leased an apartment just around the corner from Jeannette! She has a wealth of knowledge of the area, joined me for dessert at nearby restaurants, and truly made my trip to Baltimore an amazing experience. As far as location, if you are here for business you’ll find yourself in a prime spot. JHMI is about a 15 minute walk where you can also access the MTA Metro for access to the rest of the city, multiple Metro Bus stops in the area as well as access to the free Charm City Circulator bus Orange Route with quick access to downtown.

In your free time, a short walk to Fell’s Point will give you access to many local restaurants, bars, cafes, dessert spots. This is a great destination to unwind after a busy day and socialize with the locals. As you walk through this very safe part of town you will pass many coffee shops and corner stores to help you along the way to your destination.

For the price the Vivaldi Suite is second to none. A very comfortable bed that you hate to leave in the morning, a full size desk, and a full bathroom. This is a clean, bright, and spacious room that makes you feel at home.

In my opinion, better than any hotel accommodations. Jeannette also has two cats and a small dog, these animals are charming and affectionate, but are also respectful of your personal space.

When I made this reservations I had many tabs open with many other options, and a read a review that said, “if you’re considering other places, just go ahead and book this one.” I am so glad that I did.

Spacious, safe, and welcoming. I give the Vivaldi Suite as well as Jeannette my highest recommendation. Welcome to Baltimore!

So happy to meet Jeannette.

She is enthusiasm, patience and very talkative. Jeannette and I talked a lot, from culture to family, she has his own ideas, to many things. She taught me how to cook omelette, how to fight and how to deal with dangerous situations. During the days, I also meet a funny Hungary friend (Zsolt), he was here for the same conference as me. We spent lots of time together in this colorful week. Jeannette’s kitchen is a good place to talk together, with 3 lovely pets. Olivia, Oliver and Zoey, they are very lovely. they have their own territory and personality and all of them are very easy to get along with. Jeannette, Zsolt and I also play squash together in a club, this is the first time that I play squash. Very appreciate with Jeannette‘s great coach, we have fun with the game. As advertised with copious notes, I was able to get in late, and appreciated the quiet room (& its large size) and ease of the neighborhood’s proximity for walking to John Hopkins Hospital (12 minutes away). There was a bodega across the street and 2 new restaurants nearby at the Jefferson Sq at Washington Hill, and a CVS. The place was very clean and had 2 cute cats. Jeannette is a wonderful host, and the room is just like it is advertised.

For those of you that a light sleepers, make sure you have a white noise app on your phone, as you will have to deal with street noise. But certainly a steal when compared to hotel prices!

The price was great compared to others in the area.

When I first arrived Jeannette was extremely helpful in ensuring I get around the city fine. The room was beyond expectations given the price. It does have a tv with local channels but I wasn’t expecting that inside the room. The bed is comfortable and the rooftop deck is beyond amazing. I would definitely recommend this place or stay here again. I had complete privacy. Thank you again Jeannette your hospitality was nothing short of amazing

Jeannette is one of the most kind individuals I have ever met. She has a homey spot in a beautiful place in Baltimore, and the prices are very reasonable. I stayed in the Shire, which was set at a good price, clean, quiet, and cozy. I am planning on returning to Baltimore in a few weeks and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere other than with Jeannette.

Everything was as ready and clean upon my arrival. Since I was arriving later at night she offered to let me stop by before actual check in time so I get my bearings for later arrival. The house was charming and in a great central location. I highly highly recommend a stay here.
